Referee Training Class
In preparation for our Annual Two Rivers Invitational Taekwondo Tournament, we are hosting a Referee Training Class on Friday, January 22nd, 2016, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ankeny, Iowa, from 6 - 10 pm. This will not be an official Referee Certification Seminar; rather, it will be a nuts-and-bolts class that will be useful not only for those who are new to refereeing, but as a refresher for those of us that have been "around the block a time or two".  Master Mike Wickham, International Referee, will be our presenter and trainer. Master Wickham has been very active on both the national and international refereeing scene, and is currently the Referee Chair for the State of Iowa, and Vice-Chair for the National Collegiate Taekwondo Association. Cost for this Seminar will be $25 per person, and participation is open to anyone, regardless of age or rank. Those who will be attending the Two Rivers Invitational the next day are especially encouraged to attend, as we will be covering tournament-specific content, as well.  There is no need for pre-registration, simply show up around 5:30 PM, pay your registration fee (cash or check, made out to "Voorhees TKD LLC", and fasten your seatbelt!

The 20th Two Rivers Invitational Taekwondo Tournament

That's right, this will be the 20th time we have hosted the Two Rivers Invitational Taekwondo Tournament!
Hoyt Middle School in Des Moines, Iowa will be the site of this year's edition of the Midwest's favorite "Beginners Tournament".
The Information/Registration packet is attached at the bottom of this page in Word format (2016 Registration Packet). However, rather than go through all that, we strongly encourage everyone to register ONLINE by clicking on the link immediately below.
Pre-registration and online registration deadline is midnight, January 18th. After that, online registration will close, and any mail-in entries received/postmarked after the 18th, or received at the door will pay the late registration fee (double the pre-registration fee). Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to gain valuable tournament experience with other people who are relatively new to the competition world!

Annual Wyoming Trip and Seminar
Is it too early to be planning for next summer? We don't think so! While dates are still a little tentative, we are looking at the weekend of July 22-24 as the focal point of our next trip to Wyoming. Tentative plans are for a promotional exam on Friday evening, the 22nd, and another fun-filled all-day Seminar on the 23rd. Pencil it in!
